We have been very pleased with the start to the new school year. Our Y11 and Y13 students achieved excellent results this summer, and it was a pleasure to celebrate their achievements with them. Congratulations to all involved in this success including parents, teachers and staff and, of course, the students themselves. Our new pupils have made a good start this week, and it has been lovely to welcome back our pupils to the new school year.
We expect all to Aspire and Achieve and we have started the school year by talking to all students about the small steps they can take this year to make further personal and collective improvements. This will, of course, continue throughout the year and will be supported by our new Principles of Excellent Learning Programme which pupils in all year groups will follow with their form tutors.
With regard to our one, simple school rule – Ready, Respect, Safe - students should: be ready to learn by arriving on time and with the right equipment; show respect for themselves, others and their environment; and be safe by arriving at school by 8.25am and by behaving in a sensible manner.
Attendance and punctuality remain school priorities. All pupils should aim for 100% attendance. Your support in ensuring excellent attendance and punctuality as well as the highest uniform standards is appreciated.
