Dear Parents and Carers
I have been notified by TTP today of positive cases in Y8, in Y9 and in Y10.
As explained in my letter on 6 September, TTP contact the positive case and identify their close contacts. In many cases, TTP will then contact the close contacts. TTP will also inform the school of those close school contacts identified by the positive case, and the school will send a ‘warn and inform’ letter to those identified if directed to do so by TTP.
Children and staff who do not have any symptoms, and who have not tested positive, can attend school as normal. However, we would ask that you remain vigilant and if your child develops any symptoms of COVID 19 however mild, please keep your child at home and book a PCR test.
Therefore, please continue to follow this advice from CCBC:
- Contacts who are under 18, or adults who have had their second Covid vaccination for 14 days or longer will not be required to self-isolate unless they develop any Covid-type symptoms, however mild.
- If your child develops symptoms they should self-isolate immediately and obtain a PCR test.
- PCR tests on day 2 and day 8 continue to be recommended for all contacts.
- Contacts of a positive case should avoid visiting anyone who may be clinically vulnerable for a period of 10 days from the date of potential exposure as a precautionary measure.
We continue to operate to our risk assessment as set out per the guidance from Welsh Government and TTP. Please also use twice weekly LFT tests to support us in our school community.
Yours sincerely
Miss Collins
