“Business” is by far the most popular choice for students in British Universities, no doubt due to the strong vocational links the subject offers, many of which offer well paid career paths.
Business first becomes available for study at GCSE level and will suit students who may want to develop into the field of Social Sciences. The subject has clear academic links to Economics, Law, Sociology, Politics, and vocational links to Accountancy, Marketing, Production, Human Resource management, Banking, Insurance, Retailing, and Administration.
At both GCSE and A level the traditional component parts of the courses include marketing, accounting and finance, human resource management, production operation management and the external business environment.
