St. Cenydd Community School

Aspire & Achieve

We encourage and reward excellent attendance.

Pupils should be on site at 8.25 a.m. with school starting at 8.35 a.m. and finishing at 2.55 p.m.

If you cannot attend school for any reason your parent/carer must inform the school of any absence via the preferred method of the classcharts app, attaching any medical evidence as required. An email to school is also acceptable via attendance@stcenydd.co.uk or alternatively a phone call to the school using the absence line - 02920 852504 - option 1

When you return, your parent/carer must write a note explaining your absence.

If your attendance falls below 95% you will be contacted to discuss any issues and to see if we can support you to improve this.

If your attendance falls below 85% the Education Welfare Officer, Mrs Belinda Pewtner, will contact parents/carers to discuss this.

Punctuality

At St Cenydd School 'Late is Late'.

If you are late, and it is still registration time you must go directly to registration / assembly where you will be given a late mark and a detention that day (if you do not have a valid reason).

If you are late and it is after registration you must report to the attendance officer in the Key Stage office where you will be given a late mark and a detention that day (if you do not have a valid reason).

If you are persistently late, further sanctions will be put in place.
