During the Easter break a group of 85 students and 9 staff travelled to Killington, USA for a week of skiing in the mountains of Vermont. The students from Years 8-12 enjoyed 4 hours of skiing each day and all of them progressed fantastically through the week! By the end of the week several pupils were gliding down black slopes with ease. After an action packed week of skiing the group travelled to New York City for 3 days of sightseeing and some retail therapy. We enjoyed a boat tour around the Hudson as well as visits to Times Square, Ground Zero, a New York Yankees Baseball game and a 360o view of the New York skyline from the 100th floor of the world trade centre. All students and staff enjoyed a fantastic visit to the USA and the students were a credit to themselves and St Cenydd!
