As part of our ongoing commitment to prepare our students for lifelong learning, we were pleased to welcome Barclays Bank to St Cenydd on Tuesday 5 February. ‘Barclays in the Community’ is an outreach programme which aims to help students understand the economic and ethical consequences of personal financial decision–making. We feel this is a vital area of students' learning in personal and social education. Our Year 7 pupils were involved in a series of workshops which required pupils to explore helpful and unhelpful money habits, the different bank accounts available to young people, and how to apply for a bank account. We look forward to welcoming Barclays back later in the year.
