Recently, Hollie Jones in Year 7 took part in the regional Urdd Eisteddfod for Gwent with the aim of making it through to compete on the main stage in the Urdd Eisteddfod in May.  Hollie has worked really hard to learn the poem for Welsh learners in Year 7, 8 & 9, and she opened our school Eisteddfod this year with a performance.  This was not Hollie’s first time competing, but it was her first time representing St Cenydd and she did us all proud!  Hollie put on a fantastic performance and made it through to the final stage in Margam Park, where she will compete against other learners from across the country.  The Eisteddfod will take place on May 26-31 this year, with Hollie competing on the Wednesday, and it would be lovely to see some of you there!
