Our Year 7&8 Eisteddfod was a resounding success again this year with some really high-quality participation from a wide range of pupils.  It was fantastic to see so many pupils participating on and offstage.  A number of members of staff commented on the calibre of some of the off-stage competition entries as pupils had really thought about their entries and spent a lot of time on them.  One pupil entered one competition over 100 times and received a point for each entry!  This year, we had some Year 9 pupils who were keen to participate, and it’s lovely to see the enthusiasm continuing throughout the school.  We had some special guests from Year 13 who put on an impressive performance in their final Eisteddfod at St Cenydd; they set an example to all of our pupils and laid down a challenge for Year 12 to try to beat next year.
