On Thursday 9th February 2023 14 pupils attended the Scribblers Tour run by the HayFestival in Cardiff Metropolitan University. They heard from author Maz Evans and Poet Matt Goodfellow.

All pupils engaged in creative writing with some reading work out in front of other pupils from four additional schools. The pupils involved enjoyed the experience and benefited from it. Some said that they now want to explore poetry further. Every pupil that attended was gifted a free book from the organisation and most even bought a second! Pupils were so enthusiastic about the authors they heard from that they requested photos and autographs. 

The day concluded with a presentation from the university about life at uni, how to find out if university is right for you and how it can benefit future life plans.
