Last week, a large group of Year 7 students visited the Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Cardiff - the first and largest temple in Wales. During the visit, students were given the opportunity to experience a guided tour of the temple, including an opportunity to observe symbols, use artefacts, play traditional Indian musical instruments, perform meditation and learn a variety of Hindu greetings. The Hindu community has been established in Cardiff for over 50 years and the Shree Swaminarayan Temple has been the focal point of workshop for Hindus in Wales. We were delighted to be able to provide an opportunity to share what the Hindu faith and daily practices looks like for Hindus in the Welsh community.
