On Friday March 3rd, our annual school Eisteddfod returned to being a face-to-face event for the first time since 2020. Our Year 7&8 pupils hadn’t experienced a St Cenydd Eisteddfod before but they threw themselves into it and thoroughly enjoyed the event. In the run up to the day, pupils had worked hard to participate in as many off-stage competitions as possible so that they gave their house the best chance of winning. Some of the entries received were outstanding and really demonstrated how much effort pupils had made. On the stage on Eisteddfod day, we had pupils dancing, singing, acting and playing instruments but the highlight had to be the lip sync competition which was fiercely fought out by some wonderful performers. It was very close between all three houses but in the end, despite Llywelyn singing their hearts out to Yma o Hyd, Ifor managed to take the trophy - da iawn Ifor.
