On Friday 16th September, Year 11 Geographers visited Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes to collect data in order to answer the question: " How does vegetation change along a sand dune transect?" They collected data about vegetation cover, biodiversity and plant height. They will now be writing this up as an investigation that counts towards their NEA and 20% of their final GCSE. They had a fantastic time and got to experience an environment which many had not visited before, all in wonderful sunny weather.
