A massive congratulations to the girls from 8 1 1 who have been competing in a Cyber Security Competition which aims to encourage more girls to consider careers in Cyber Security. The competition is overseen by GCHQ, the Government's Communication Headquarters.
The girls have been working in teams of 4 solving a variety of fun but extremely challenging problems in the four categories of Cryptography, Cyber Security, Logic & Coding and Networking.
Each of the girls have been incredibly dedicated throughout the week of the online round, spending registration, break time, lunchtime and hours after school working together to solve as many of the challenges as possible.
An extra congratulations goes to Daisy Wilkes, Hannah Straiton, Evie Thomas and Ellie Hayes who were the winning group from St. Cenydd and we await the national results to see if they have qualified for the Grand Final.
