The art rooms have been awash with colour and creative experimentation this week as 8 2 4 have been experimenting with a new technique called Batik. They have been using hot melted wax from a batik kettle and tjanting tools to draw with to experiment with creating bold patterns and mark making. After the wax has dried the pupils have been transferring their knowledge of colour blending into dye and been producing the most exciting and experrive experimental pieces in preparation for our final unit pieces next week… look back to see how 8 2 4 got on next week!
